In 2020 NEDC concentrated on making sure that all election technologies in the States were secured for the November 2020 elections and that auditing practices were upgraded to assure accuracy. This entailed media, federal and state work.

We focused on the following targets:

1. Education of the public and public officials of the need for verifiable, and auditable paper ballots for all voters in all elections.

2. Elimination of electronic computerized voting machines which did not produce a verifiable paper trail and therefore could not be certifiably audited

3. Eliminating Internet connections or potential connectivity from all electronic vote tabulation systems or voting machines.

4. Educate national and state Press, and federal and state politicians to promote federal policies that support election security and election security funding

5. Organize national and state coalitions to promote election security policy and funding

6. Communications with State SOSs and other elections officials to improve election security standards

7. Promoting hand counted manual audits and Risk Limiting Audits (RLAS) to ensure faith in election results

8. Produced Op-eds on election security policy and funding in national and regional publications

9. Launching the Creative Arts Council to garner celebrity and influencer support for secure elections.

10. Use of digital activism platforms to place public pressure on elections officials to implement security protocols in time for November 2020.

11. During the Covid epidemic NEDC supported efforts to protect elections officials and elderly voters by organizing the private sector to donate masks, face shields, antiseptic, PPE, food bars and water, to elections workers and for voters. Approximately $3 million (three million dollars) were donated by private companies and distributed by NEDC, corporations and partners

12. Supporting Counties in various states for the 2020 elections by soliciting donations of ballot Drop Boxes to prevent long lines and infections in polling places.
