SUSPECT ELECTIONS

A series of suspect elections have radically changed the balance of power in America, with impacts felt around the world.

ILLEGAL WARS & TERROR

In 2000, the aggressively manipulated election in Florida led to eight years of the Bush-Cheney administration. Their outright fabrication that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction perpetrated the longest, and most unnecessary war in American history, destabilizing the Middle East and costing an estimated 6 trillion dollars, while spreading rather than eliminating the threat of terrorism.

UNDERMINING DEMOCRACY

In 2004, a second  manipulated Bush-Cheney victory in Ohio led to the appointment of Supreme Court justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito. The Roberts court has since completely destroyed campaign finance safeguards in the Citizens United decision, and gutted the Voting Rights Act in the Shelby County decision.

EXTREMIST TAKEOVER OF STATES

In 2010, 2012, and 2014, Jim Crow voter suppression, dark campaign money, and electronic manipulation of elections in states like South Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, and Florida allowed the ascendancy of extremist candidates in dozens of state legislatures. Moderates have lost control of the U.S. House and Senate.

IMPEDING CLIMATE CHANGE MITIGATION

These political coups based on electoral fraud were directed in large measure by the fossil fuel industry, fortifying the dominance of their climate-change denier allies. This corrupt cabal that now endangers the very survival of civilization, as climate mitigation efforts are blocked in D.C. and many states.
