Few people have been as effective as Bev Harris at exposing malfeasance in the election industry. Her must-read book, Black Box Voting, is available free online. Her website offers a wealth of resources on election integrity, including a Citizen's Toolkit for election defense.

Bev Harris is best known for discovering thousands of files for a Diebold election management system on an insecure server. She worked with computer scientists to expose numerous security flaws in the code, a toothless independent testing regime, and fraudulent corporate practices.

Her work with Harri Hursti led to the famous voting machine hack seen in the full-length HBO documentary Hacking Democracy.

RICHARD HAYES PHILLIPS

Contact

Richard Hayes Phillips was the leading investigator of the fraudulent 2004 presidential election in Ohio.

Assisted by teams of volunteers equipped with digital cameras, Phillips amassed some 30,000 images of forensic evidence. He analyzed it all himself, examining 126,000 ballots, 127 poll books, and 141 voter signature books from 18 counties in Ohio.

John Conyers relied upon his work in challenging the Ohio electors in Congress, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. used his data to write an article for Rolling Stone magazine, and Judge Algenon L. Marbley issued a federal court order protecting ballots from destruction based on his research.

Witness to a Crime: A Citizens' Audit of an American Election is an invaluable book with extensive evidence of election theft.
